Guest WiFi analytics software can answer two very different questions: who connected? and how did people move or return? Buyers should separate guest-profile analytics from presence or footfall analytics before comparing vendors.
What useful guest WiFi analytics should measure
- Connections and returning visitors
- Guest profiles and visit frequency
- Opt-in and list growth
- Email/SMS engagement
- Review-request performance
- Presence or footfall trends when supported by the hardware
- Location-by-location performance for multi-site operators
MyWiFi analytics
MyWiFi’s current support documentation describes dashboard activity analytics, connection history, demographics, visitor trends, real-time analytics, guest CRM, custom reports and automated email reporting. Its current pricing page also lists presence analytics and footfall heatmaps on Connect and above. That combination is particularly useful for MSPs that need recurring client reports.
Beambox analytics
Beambox documents guest profiles, visit history, engagement data, customer segments, Presence Detection, footfall trends and loyalty scoring. Its model is more tightly connected to the venue-marketing workflow: understand a guest, segment them, then send the right follow-up.
Do not buy analytics you cannot act on
A dashboard full of charts is not automatically useful. Before paying for a higher tier, define the decision each metric should influence: staffing, campaign timing, review requests, retention or client reporting. If nobody will act on a metric, it is probably not a purchase driver.

Define each metric before comparing dashboards
Guest WiFi analytics can refer to portal sign-ins, recognized devices, visits, dwell estimates, repeat visits, campaign activity or location-level traffic. Vendors may calculate these differently. Write down the business question first, then confirm what event the platform actually measures and how anonymous devices become known profiles.
Prefer actionable metrics
- Portal completion and valid-contact rate.
- New vs returning recognized guests.
- Visits by location and time period.
- Campaign/review actions tied to permissioned profiles.
- Support or access failures that affect the guest experience.
Keep privacy and retention visible
More device data is not automatically better analytics. Confirm retention settings, export controls, consent requirements for the intended workflow and who can access location-level profiles. For multi-client deployments, verify that one client cannot see another client’s guest data.
