Beambox is a strong venue-focused WiFi marketing product, but it is not automatically the best operating model for every buyer. The right alternative depends on whether your priority is lower-cost guest access, reseller control, enterprise analytics, vacation-rental workflows or deeper network identity.
Beambox alternatives compared
| Alternative | Consider it when |
|---|---|
| MyWiFi | You manage guest WiFi for multiple clients and need white-label/reseller controls. |
| Purple | You operate a larger multi-site venue estate and want enterprise analytics/CRM workflows. |
| Spotipo | You want clear per-location portal pricing and a broad conventional captive-portal feature set. |
| IronWiFi | You need guest WiFi plus RADIUS, Passpoint or employee-network identity. |
| StayFi | Your primary use case is short-term rentals and property-manager guest marketing. |
Choose MyWiFi instead when
Beambox is built mainly around the venue. MyWiFi is more explicitly designed for resellers, agencies and MSPs managing multiple client accounts. If client-level access, white-label administration and reseller economics are central to the business, compare MyWiFi first.
Choose Purple instead when
Purple is oriented toward larger venue environments, enterprise hardware estates, analytics and CRM/engagement workflows. It is a stronger comparison when the guest network is part of a wider customer-data and venue-operations program.
Choose Spotipo instead when
Spotipo publishes simple per-location plans and includes guest capture, integrations and payment login options. It is a useful alternative if you want a more conventional captive-portal pricing model.
Choose IronWiFi instead when
IronWiFi is more network-identity oriented. If the same vendor needs to cover guest portals, RADIUS and employee access, compare it before choosing a marketing-first platform.
Choose StayFi instead when
StayFi is purpose-built for vacation rentals. Property managers trying to capture the contact details of actual stay guests, not just booking guests, should evaluate the specialist workflow.
When Beambox still makes sense
Stay with Beambox when the core requirement is a venue-friendly blend of branded guest WiFi, customer capture, email/SMS marketing and reputation automation, and its supported hardware fits the deployment.

Compare alternatives on the same deployment
Use one scenario for every quote: the same number of venues, access points, monthly guests, email/SMS volume and required integrations. This prevents a low entry price from looking cheaper when the features you actually need sit on a higher tier or carry overage charges.
Migration checklist
- Export guest data and consent fields in a portable format.
- Document the current router/controller configuration.
- List every integration and campaign that depends on Beambox.
- Build and test the replacement portal before changing the live SSID flow.
- Test returning guests, opt-outs and review workflows.
- Run a controlled location pilot before moving every site.
Do not switch only for one feature
If Beambox already works reliably, migration cost matters. A competitor should solve a meaningful limitation – hardware support, reseller administration, enterprise analytics, access control or total cost – rather than simply having one extra checkbox on a feature table.
Decision shortcut
Venue marketing stays Beambox’s natural territory. Move toward MyWiFi as the business becomes a service provider, Purple as the environment becomes enterprise/multi-site, IronWiFi as identity/network control dominates, Spotipo as a straightforward portal model becomes more attractive, or StayFi when the use case is specifically short-term rentals.
